THE IDEA.

Inspired by Dino Capsule: a trail of footprints becomes the beginning of a prehistoric adventure. Leave a little space for the unexpected. The best part might be the bit you never planned.

YOU’LL NEED.

  • Age-appropriate playdough
  • Large toy dinosaurs or a chunky stamp
  • A washable mat
  • Scrap cardboard and paper for mountains and leaves

LET THEM…

  1. Flatten the dough into a wide path. Press a dinosaur’s feet into it and lift them to reveal the tracks.
  2. Try another dinosaur. Let them compare the marks and guess who walked past.
  3. Make a mountain from folded cardboard and a forest from paper leaves. Where do the tracks lead? Let them build the next chapter.

WHY KIDS LOVE IT.

Pressing and comparing gives little hands a satisfying puzzle. The tracks become clues, and the child becomes the storyteller.

Playdough is not advised for children under three. Do not taste it; check ingredient and allergy information. Use large, age-appropriate toys and supervise throughout.
